Featured Skater
Mirai Nagasu
Mirai Nagasu was born in Montebello, California and raised in Arcadia, California, where her parents own a sushi restaurant. She began skating at the age of five, one rainy day, her mom decided to take her ice skating and that's when she knew she wanted to keep skating. She won the 2008 US National Championships in St. Paul, MN and was the Junior World bronze medalist that same year.

Although placing second at 2010 U.S. Nationals in Spokane, Washington, Nagasu stole the show, lighting up the rink with her energy, poise and infectious smile. Mirai placed a very respectable 4th place finish at the Vancouver Olympic Games. Mirai won the bronze medal at the 2014 U.S. Championships. Although the United States was able to send a three-woman team to the ladies singles figure skating competition at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia, the U.S. Figure Skating awarded the third position on the team to another skater. Still, the devastation of not making it to Sochi lingers. Her ultimate goal is to make the U.S. Olympic team in 2018. She has a dog named Lincoln.
