Starting April 10, the City’s utility crews will begin flushing more than 1600 fire hydrants in the city, mainly east of highway 10. The process is part of a routine maintenance program necessary to maintain the water system and remove sediment from the lines. This allows us to continue to deliver the highest quality water possible to our residents. If crews are working in your neighborhood, you may experience some water discoloration, but this does not affect the safety of the water. It’s best to avoid doing laundry until the discoloration has disappeared. Click here to see a map of the exact area.
