Coon Rapids 50th Anniversary Celebration
A volunteer committee of residents, business representatives, civic organizations, City Council and staff are busy planning events to celebrate Coon Rapids’ 50th anniversary of being a city. A year long events calendar is being planned, starting with a kick off concert and ice cream social on Friday, June 12th. Other events include a golf tournament, dances, carnivals and parades, culminating with an all-school reunion on July 3, 2010.

If you have photos that show the changes that have occurred in Coon Rapids or depict historical events or places, you may forward them to Joni Anderson, City Clerk, 11155 Robinson Drive, 55433. The photo should be labeled with location, date and identification of the subject matter. Whether the photo needs to be returned or not should also be included.
